Old students of St. Thomas Aquinas have congratulated the new Vice-Chancellor of UPSA, Professor Abednego Okoe Feehi Amartey. The alumni of Aquinas said, it was an honour to see one of their own elevated to the position of a VC.
Professor Oko Amartey was inducted into office as the Second Vice Chancellor of the University in January 2017. He took over from Prof Joshua Alabi.
Present and past students of his alma mater on Friday paid him a visit as a show of support and also to encourage him. The students used the opportunity to seek his approval to make him the patron of St. Thomas Aquinas UPSA alumni branch under consideration. They also invited him to identify with Aquinas during UPSA SRC's "Rep Your School Day" coming off on the 30th of March.
Professor Okoe Amartey thanked the alumni for the love and confidence reposed in his leadership. He urged the students to aspire to greater heights.
