Born in Zanlerigu in the Upper East Region of Ghana, Paul Muda is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Accounting at UPSA. Paul’s main areas of expertise include Taxation and Fiscal Policy, Financial Reporting and Principles of Accounting. He is a Professional teacher with twenty three years experience.
Prior to joining UPSA, Paul taught at a number of senior high schools including Bawku Senior High School, Bolgatanga Senior High, Bolgatanga Girls Senior High School, and Saint John’s Senior High School Sekondi Takoradi. He has considerable experience as an Examiner in Financial Accounting with the West African Examination Council (West African Senior Certificate Examination). Paul is also a Reverend Minister and pastor in charge of Fountain Gate Chapel, Legon Campus Branch.
His research interests include Taxation, Planning and Fiscal policy, Accounting standards and its usefulness, Corporate Governance and Risk Management, Church Administration and Book Keeping. He is married with two children.
I strive to facilitate and develop students’ problem-solving strategies that will be useful to them. I believe that facilitating students’ understanding of theoretical concepts and giving them opportunities to ask questions is a step toward scientific solution to problems.
I enjoy exchange of ideas with my students as a facilitator in a very active, professional and cordial atmosphere.
I encourage critical thinking and practical applications of the concepts relevant to our situation. I also believe in giving frequent exercises and assignments to students.
