Teaching Statement

As a teacher with considerable teaching experience, my goal in the classroom is to challenge and be challenged by my students. I have a conviction that every student possesses exclusive capabilities that can be tapped by others if given the appropriate environment. With this, I place my students at the centre of the teaching and learning process. I urge my students to share their judgements and beliefs with one another. In order to achieve this, I inspire my students to engage in active class participation, brain- storming sessions, group projects, and group presentations. In order to be challenged by my students, a very friendly atmosphere is created for my students to ask questions at any point in the course of the teaching process. This makes my students consider themselves as part of the teaching and learning process. I am always open to their thoughts and eager to hear their opinions.
