Biography

Born in Suhum in the Eastern Region of Ghana, Dr. Ampem Darko Aniapam attended Okuapemman Senior High. He then proceeded to the University of Cape Coast between 1993 and 1998 where he was awarded a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Social Science (Geography) and a Diploma in Education. After his national service and a two-year teaching experience at Okuapemman Senior High School, he proceeded to the University of Ghana for a Master of Philosophy degree in Environmental Science in 2004. He joined the University of Professional Studies, Accra in 2005 as a lecturer, in Environmental Management. While lecturing at UPSA, he pursued a PhD in Environmental Science at the University of Ghana between 2010 and 2015.

Dr. Aniapam’s main area of interest is Education. He has been in the educational field all his working life, starting as a teacher at the Dome Local Authority Primary/JHS in the Fanteakwa District of the Eastern Region and to Okuapemman Senior High School. His areas of expertise include rehabilitation/reclamation of wasted mine lands; waste management and occupational health and safety in business organisations. 

Dr. Aniapam is married with three wonderful children
