Born in Accra in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, Mr Lawrence Offei Asare obtained his General Certificate of Education, Ordinary Level (GEC O’Level) at Tema Secondary School from 1986 to 1991 to. He then proceeded to the Central University College (CUC), University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) and the University of Ghana (UG) to pursue his tertiary education. He is currently an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
He has worked as a teaching assistant at UPSA and the University of Ghana Business School’s (UGBS) Department of Public Administration & Health Services Management (DPAHSM). Before joining UPSA, he was a full-time Lecturer for four (4) years at the Methodist University College Ghana (MUCG). His main areas of expertise include public sector management, policy implementation, the tourism-poverty nexus, and business and strategy management. His current research interest is in the tourism-poverty nexus.
He has been a Pastor since 1997 in Ghana and the United Kingdom (UK), and worked for several years as a Sales & Marketing Executive with two (2) Internet Service Companies (ISPs) in Accra. He holds a Certificate in Data Communication from the United Kingdom Telecommunications Academy (UKTA) and Diploma in Theology and Biblical Studies from Malachi Institute, Ghana. Mr. Asare is married with three wonderful children.
