A Public Relations Consultant has advised students to brand themselves wherever they go.

Donald Gwira of DG Consult says that branding is the only way to build an image for one’s self and earn a place in the competitive world of business. He noted that “PR is about image building and management reputation” and explained that as a Public Relation student, you should know how you present yourself to your publics and the need to know and understand them.

The award-winning PR and global CSR leader was addressing PR students at the third National Institute of Public Relations Students Conference 2019, held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) on Tuesday, March 12, 2019.

The conference which was under the theme ’Anchoring the Future of Public Relations: The Students’ Role’ brought together PR students from across selected tertiary institutions in the country.

The Head of Public Relations Department at UPSA, Dr Kweku Rockson who chaired the event also urged the students to dress properly as according to him appropriate dressing boost one’s chances of securing a ‘decent’ job.
