OPOKU AMPOMAH HALL
WELCOME to the hall that is christened the Founders. The Opoku Ampomah hall is a mixed hall that is on the second and third floor of the ultramodern UPSA hostel. Named after the Founder of the University, Nana K. Opoku Ampomah, this hall continues to be a pacesetter and a trailblazer in the Junior Common Room (JCR).
The symbol of the hall was chosen not just by mere coincidence. The “Akoben” meaning the “war horn” is the same symbol that is in the University’s crest. This war horn signifies leadership in times of war and protection of the general wellbeing of the members of the hall and the University community at large.
The hall has an astute Alumnus of the University, Dr. John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor as hall tutor. Dr. Mensah also doubles as the President of the UPSA Alumni Association.
